Outback Auctions & Real Estate was started in 2001 by Keith and Naomi Douglas as a sales and auction agent, before adding property management in 2014.

In 2019, Keith and Naomi’s daughter, Janessa, came on board with the business and has now taken over as the Principal Agent.

Outback Auctions celebrated 20 years of business in 2021, and is going stronger than ever with a full team of property managers, sales agents and trust accountant.

Janessa, Krystal, Kate and  Naomi are very knowledgeable in all things Cloncurry real estate with over 30 years’ experience between them.

Today, Outback Auctions operates from a new location at 40 Scarr Street, and offers all the things you look for in your real estate journey, from top quality marketing and digital sign up options to the quality personal experience you look for in a real estate agent.

Janessa Bidgood

 Keith & Naomi’s daughter Janessa joined the business in 2019 and has now taken over as the Principal Agent. 

Janessa, Krystal, Kate & Naomi are very knowledgeable in all things real estate in Cloncurry, and have over 30 years’ experience between them.

Lara Coffison

Lara has long term connections with Cloncurry, after spending most of her early childhood years here. She has been away for a few years, at Bundaberg but has returned to Cloncurry in the last 2 years for work. Lara started her Real Estate career in 2020, by completing her Salesperson / Property Management training. She now manages over 100 properties and takes a very invested interest in the welfare of her tenants and landlords. Lara approaches her job with a “what would I do if it were my house?” mentality which is great for landlords looking for a genuine property manager. Lara enjoys shopping and the beach, and is a great asset to the Outback Auctions team!

Kate Taylor

Kate is not a born and bred Cloncurry local, but she has been here for the last 10 years, which means she is ‘nearly’ a local. Kate has worked in a varying degree of industries, including agriculture, vet nursing, admin and now real estate. Kate stepped into the role of Property Manager in May 2021, and has taken to it like a duck to water. Kate is a very organised person and knows most tenants in town already, making her transition into caring for properties nice and easy! Outside of work Kate enjoys competing in barrel racing on her horse Paleface and spending time with her dog, Cody.

Krystal McPhee

Krystal is both Janessa’s sister, and the brains behind the scenes with all things trust account, accounting and lease renewals. 

Krystal handles a lot of our landlord’s accounts, ensuring the details are right and the bills are paid. She juggles this with running our second business, Western Appliances so she is always busy! Krystal has also been infected with a love of horses and rodeo, and spends her free time with her family and their horses.

Naomi Douglas

Naomi has the most experience in the whole team, after all she has been here since the beginning of Outback Auctions & Real Estate in 2001. Naomi has always been super organised and invested in her job, and is well known for going above and beyond for her customers. Naomi knows nearly every house on the list inside and out and has an incredible ability of remembering every room, every smoke alarm, every aircon and every wall in a house! Naomi has 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren, she enjoys spending time with them more than anything in the world, but also doesn’t mind a touch of cross stitching either, she can make some pretty impressive art work with her needle and thread.
